Check equipment is level and free of physical damage. This includes sensors and rain-gauges, and all associated electrical cabling.
Brush away all cobwebs and wipe clean with a damp cloth
Spray the exterior of the weather-station or rain-gauge with a good quality, residual bug spray.
For digital rain-gauges, check the tipping spoon is free to move and clear of dirt. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
For digital weather-stations, check wind-speed sensors are clean and free to move.
